# Price updates

`offer.price.changed` fires when any price field on an offer changes. Use it for a price-drop alert.

Subscribe to the product from [Setup](/docs/guides/webhooks/setup.md), not to an offer. Leave `domains` off and a price change at any merchant comes through. Each event names that merchant in `subject.domain`. Pass `domains` when you only want to hear about certain merchants. `previous` and `current` are the price before and after.

`data.subject` names the offer. The `id` stays the same when a delivery is retried.
